I decided to write this after I heard, yet another, sermon on how after you become a Christian you begin to think about living right.
This absolutely blows my mind! That is what becoming a Christian is!!! A radical transformation and commitment to Jesus, Purity, Holiness...ALWAYS! Sanctification is one of the biggest lies Satan has ever pulled off... "oh don't worry about your sin, everyone is sinful even Christians and pastors. you get better the longer your a Christian, and if not, when you die you will be made Holy". -your friend Satan. This lie is not an infection in the Christian church. IT IS THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH!!! It used to be that people were sinners who sinned all the time, then they REPENTED and were transformed, IN A SINGLE MOMENT, and became saints, who beamed Jesus and would never dream of going after any sin. Sanctification happens in a single moment when you give control to Jesus. You are then set apart once for all. I just heard a quote from an actual Good Preacher who said, "The one thing about crucifixion, you knew you weren't coming back." Yet today in time it is completely fine to engage in any sin and still be considered a struggling Christian. If you don't have a date of when practical Holiness started, and if it hasn't continued uninterrupted, you are not saved. Jesus changes you the instant you bow. A Born Again Christian is bent on God. He doesn't struggle with sin. That is the Gospel. When you get saved (not sure what that means, it means stop sinning, not sure how to do that, get Jesus and bow to Him once for all) you die and Jesus lives in you. Every conversion is Radical. Period. The reason conversion isn't viewed as radical is because 99% of the church is not converted and headed to Hell. Even if you're a pretty good person, you become obsessed with Jesus and what He wants. Dead people becoming alive is pretty Radical. It's not like joining a soccer team and practicing to get better. Its like when God made the universe. It was not in existence, nothing. Then BOOM THE WHOLE UNIVERSE MADE AT HIS WORD. That is Salvation. People who believe in sanctification and that Christians get better and sin less...are leading people right into Hell. Its black to white. That is why it's a miracle. I am not saying necessarily that a Born Again Christian doesn't sin... Ill give an example... Weeds and flowers. A weed on its best day is garbage producing garbage. A weed trying to be like a flower is still a weed producing garbage. A flower is beautiful and was born that way and will always be a flower. On a bad day, the flower may not be as beautiful as it could because it grow slightly to the right and lost a pedal in the process. To become a flower something radical must happen. A sinner (weed) becomes a Saint (flower). I used to always think about myself and what I wanted. I thought I was a Christian. I really struggled with sexual sin, a lot. EVERYONE IN THE CHURCH WOULD SAY I WAS SAVED. I HAVE NEWS FOR YOU!!! When I gave my life to Jesus, in an instant I became sanctified...because ITS GOD WERE TALKING ABOUT, HE ISNT SMALL! I stopped thinking about myself and what I wanted and became consumed with Jesus and how He wanted to live. I always ask myself what does Jesus want, how can I be Holy in this situation, how can I love people. And guess what the sexual sin, gone!!!!!!!!! PRAISE JESUS!!! It has been five years since I got saved and I haven't sexually sinned one time! Now we get into the, can a Christian sin bit. I felt that God might be telling me not to ask a certain girl on a date, I did anyways because I wasn't 100% sure of God's leading. The longest I have lusted over a girl is for about 2.5 seconds. I think that was the worst I have done in five years. It took me a horrible record time of two and a half seconds to realize, "what the heck is going on", and switch it off. That is a Christian. I am not trying to build myself up. I am not bragging or saying I am better than everyone. I am showing you what a Christian is. If you don't fit that mold i'm sorry you are not. You can become one, if you seek Jesus with all your heart and give up sin. Jesus is the reason why I AM HOLY. OOPS. I SAID IT. Yes I am Holy. its kind of a requirement to go to Heaven. Jesus gets the Glory because He saved me and brought me to the place of true repentance/conversion/sanctification. I simply sought Him as He sought me. Sorry if I am being so harsh, but people's eternity is on the line. A little sin is not ok. If I even think, I might think about sinning, I get distraught and pray for forgiveness. I beam Jesus, because He is in me beaming out. People all think they are safe and saved because they are looking around at other "Christians". When you meet Jesus personally and look into the face of God, you will realize you fall way short and cry out to Him, to be like Him and not the sadly deceived preachers and Christians around you, on the radio, and in the pulpit. We are in the last days and the great deception is upon us. People think that they don't have to have EXTREME HOLINESS TO GO TO HEAVEN. YOU DO!!! AND YOU GET IT BY ACTUALLY GETTING JESUS IN YOU AND COMMITTING TO HIM. This is True Christianity, Biblical Christianity, historical Christianity. Why don't you look up the early Christians, or read in the Bible what the lives of New Testament Believers looked like when they got the HOLY Spirit!!! Sorry for being so rough, it just drives me nuts. It almost is, that preachers are saying that a good healthy Christian should sin! It makes me want to flip a lid. LoveYou! JesusLovesYou!!! :)

I'm really glad God took away your sexual sin. But there are other sins in the bible. Honor your father and mother. He who does not work shall not eat. You shall not covet (anything your neighbor has). And if you want to use the early church as an example, let's look at Acts 2:42 " they devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." Two of those--fellowship and breaking of bread require being joined with the Church. Thank you for challenging us to personal holiness, but I disagree with you that sanctification is a lie. If I didn't have a family to take care of, I would love to sit down and systematically go through the Bible to find verses about this topic. But I have needy little people who depend on me, so here is from a Christian doctrine book from Covenant. Here are some verses mentioned in the chapter. 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Ephesians 5:26, Hebrews 13;20-21, Philippians 1:6, 1 Corinthians 1:18, Galatians 5:22-23, Philippians 2:12-13, Romans 12:1-2, Romans 8:13, 1 John 1:8-10.
