Mel Gibson Braveheart giving meaning back to Easter!!!

Mel Gibson made a movie about Jesus.
And no it isn't the Passion of the Christ.
It's Braveheart.
I was literally moved to tears several times watching it today.
William Wallace, Mel Gibson, is one of the best depictions of Jesus I have seen!
There are a couple sinful scenes in the movie that I fast forward...but other than that one of the best movies ever!!!
First thing I notice in the movie that is like Jesus is Mel Gibson's kindness, loyalty, and courage.
He has great love for his wife, his friends, and his country.
And he is willing to risk it all for what is right.
I thought this would be appropriate for Easter, because it actually gives it some meaning...
To see with our eyes a glimpse of what Jesus is like and what He did for us on the cross on Friday...
But unlike the movie Jesus rose AGAIN...
NEVER TO DIE AGAIN!!!

In this scene we see the majesty and the authority that is in Jesus...
And as Mel Gibson says and God asks us right now...
Do you want to live your life for yourself and just take it easy and have a good life...
Or do you want to live for Jesus and fight for Him to make an impact on eternity save lives, love Jesus, and help people forever!!!

In the next scene Mel Gibson is dying because he refused to let Scottish people be murdered and mistreated so he fought back...
This scene reminds me of Jesus on the cross suffering...
Just as Mel Gibson could have asked for mercy Jesus could have saved Himself...
Just like Mel's two friends are watching him die...
Peter and John watched all of Jesus's torture...
And just as Mel's encouragement and reason to die was his wife...
Jesus's reason for dying was us...
I think He pictures you and me and all His Kids when He died...

The next scene is right after Mel's death...
Someone who would not follow and help Mel and was a reason he died, finally gives his loyalty to Mel...
The Apostle Paul hated Jesus, but was finally overcome by Jesus's love and power and Holiness...
At the end of the scene, two of Mel's best friends are there, I like to think of the stronger one as Peter, and the other Irish guy as John...
Jesus dies...
Paul gives his loyalty to Jesus...
And Peter throws Jesus's sword (shaped like a Cross) onto the battlefield...
They charge and win...
Praise Jesus!!!

Jesus is the only Awesome One!!!!
