13 "For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?[c] And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent?"
Romans 10
You have to believe that Jesus is God.  That He lived a perfect life.  That He died on the cross and took your Eternal Hell for you.  That He rose from the dead.  Then you must repent of your sin and turn your back on everything including yourself.  You must have faith, saving faith, in Jesus by giving Him your whole life.

Once you have believed in Jesus that is the first step according to verse 14.
A person must believe in Jesus (unsavingly) in order to call on His name to believe in Him (savingly).
The Greek for, "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" is a continual and ongoing thing.
First you believe in Jesus.  Then you call and call and pray and pray and seek and seek until you give Jesus your whole life and are definitely savingly believing because you have given Jesus everything and He has given you Himself.

Many people believe in Jesus and go to Hell.
You can't just have a kinda sorta belief in Jesus.
You must believe in Jesus and call and seek after Him until you have Him and know it.
Believing in Jesus is like realizing your drowning in the sea.  So you call and scream and pray until Jesus comes in and saves you by having you surrender your life to Him fully.

Believe
Call on the Name of the Lord
Give your whole life to Jesus
Make sure it worked
If not keep trying

Philipians 3:13-14
"...but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

Paul said through the Holy Spirit that he did one thing.  He said he forgot everything in the past and behind him and strained toward Jesus.
If we are to be saved we must give up everything and have finding Jesus be our only goal.
Jesus said, "you will find me when you seek me, when you seek me with all your heart".  And I would add, seek with everything and don't give up.
We must first of all make sure we have Jesus.
The Bible says the Lord (Jesus) and the Spirit are one.
"Make your calling and election sure." II Peter 1:10
"Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith."
II Corinthians 13:5
As Jesus said, "Ask, seek, and knock..."
Matthew 7 and Luke 11
Our Primary concern is Jesus.
We first must ensure our radical conversion.

If we are saved then we still follow this verse.
We forget the past and press on toward the prize of God's high call in Christ Jesus.
The prize is in Jesus.
The prize we are fighting for.
Jesus is the goal.
Jesus is the prize.
We fight and walk by faith to find Jesus and give Him our life to get Him and be united to Him.
And then we live for Him with our eyes on the prize of finally seeing Him face to face!

Bottom Line:
Forget everything.  Find Jesus.  Give Him your life.  Make sure it worked (atom bomb like experience).
Look forward to seeing Him in person!
